Museen der Stadt Nürnberg

Today I visited the Museen der Stadt Nürnberg on a return visit to Germany, where I spent many of my younger years. Growing up I’d gone past the Deutsches Stadion (we always referred to it as Hitler’s Stadium) many times where the museum is now and watched people playing games, having picnics and never giving a second thought about how many lives this place had changed. After spending part of the day at the museum today however, I’m torn between the beauty of the architecture and the horrific acts it took to build the structure and all of the surrounding area that were once part of the Reichsparteitagsgelände (Reich Party Congress Grounds).
