Bridal Veil Falls

Joined by Brian Matiash, Brian Bonham, Lars Gustafson, and Katelyn McCallum I headed out to the Columbia River Gorge to photograph some of the many spectacular waterfalls we are blessed to have in the area. The day started out with grey and gloomy skies and no sign of change but we were determined to make the best it.

My favorite spot was Bridal Veil Falls. With the rushing water and vibrant foliage I knew immediately I would be taking some long exposure shots. Using The Big Stopper filter by Lee Filters on my Canon EF24-70mm f/2.8L lens I was able to capture the motion of the water flowing past as well as all of the amazing colors surrounding it.

Stylization: Using Perfect Effects by onOne Software I applied the following filters Green Enhancer, Cyberpunk, Tonal Contrast, Shadows Lighter. Additional editing done in Lightroom 4.3.
